The Challenges of Counseling

The Challenges of Counseling

WEBINAR by Massimiliano Zonza

Counseling comes from a long tradition and constitutes an authentic revolution in the world of relational professions. Today, however, the field of relational professions is literally invaded by a plethora of different approaches in terms of methodology and purpose. In fact, we are witnessing the presence of a plurality very composed of approaches ranging from classic psychodynamic approaches of the continental mold, to psychotherapeutic approaches of the Anglo-Saxon mold (cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, systemic-relational, etc.) to approaches of educational inspiration or totally new ones such as example that of Coaching.

In this panorama where much has been passed off as Counseling even though it wasn’t, what is the role that Counseling can still play? Are your inspirational ways still revolutionary? And concretely, in which areas can we use counseling skills?
