MEETING IN THE RING: CONFLICT AS AN EVOLUTIONARY PRESSURE

February 9, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - February 11, 2024 @ 1:00 pm

SEMINAR by Sergi Barrientos (teacher) and Barbara Rabinad Coll (training days)

MEETING IN THE RING: CONFLICT AS AN EVOLUTIONARY PRESSURE. Relationships and Own Conflict Facilitation

In every conflict there are dreams, inner dialogues, energy and relational dynamics, personal roles and stories. In this seminar, we will learn how to observe the different elements of the conflict, to recognize the phases in which it develops and to use our skills and metaskills to resolve them, also through creative paths. Advanced training module for facilitators, counselors, therapists, social and community workers.

Topics Covered

What leads us into the ring of conflict is the dreaming field as well as our internal dialogue and relationship dynamics. It constellates an evolutionary pressure and interplay of roles, ghost roles, history, time spirits and the future. The tension between the parts and the diversity of needs and experiences mobilizes us into discovering creative pathways towards love, understanding and reconciliation.

We will focus on those technical and clinical aspects:

  • 360° Awareness of the facilitator.
  • The ability to observe and to unfold non verbal signals.
  • The phases of conflict.
  • Understanding the dynamic between the levels of reality.
  • Clear skills and metaskills for relationship facilitation.
  • How to hold hot spots when the pressure rises and the hit touches us strongly.
  • Holding temporary resolutions and cool spots.

A long experience in social movements and social justice projects, as well as years living and working in different parts of the world with multiple organizations and communities have given me a cross-cultural awareness of the dynamics of privilege, power and marginalization.

Founder member of the Go Deep Project recognized with the GENE Global Education Innovation Award ’17, I currently collaborate with various organizations in Europe:

  • Supporting organizational development and conflict management in associations and companies.
  • Supporting the development of leadership and dialogue in the field of migration and reception.
  • Supporting men to become more aware of themselves, of the use/misuse of their power and the impact this has on themselves and their relationships.

I love the study and research, art and the mountains.
