WEBINAR by Gill Emslie

MY BODY AND THE WORLD

Working with chronic, acute body and “world” tensions to change the world

The webinar will explore the impact of the world socio-political situation on our daily life, both physical and emotional, showing how external pressures reflect in our relationships, in life choices and in our overall well-being. Starting from the assumption that the body is a receptor of experiences and at the same time the posters outside, the lesson invites to perceive physical symptoms and body sensations not only as medical problems, but as significant messages. Through techniques of introspection and body awareness, the participants will learn to decipher the “dreams” that the body manifests while we are awake, better understanding the emotional and psychosocial origins of the symptoms. The goal is to acquire tools to use these sensations as keys to improve relationships, make more aware decisions and cultivate a sense of well-being. The workshop will culminate in an expressive experience, “dreaming and dancing” with the body, to encourage a deep and creative connection between body, mind and surrounding world.

Topic

The Socio Political situation of the world affects all of us, physically and emotionally, as influences our relationships and our context. The Body is an active channel of all those experiences and it dreams while awake with symptoms and body sensations .Many of us adress those symptoms through the medical path but many times its not enough.

What will we do during the training

So, in this class we will learn to unfold the deeper meaning of this symptoms and how to utalize the hidden powers for the benefit and improvement off our relationships, life choices and personal wellbeing. Let’s dream and dance the body together!!!
